ABOUT STATELINE HAWKS

Background
The Stateline Hawks girls hockey program was formed in Spring 2022 through a merger between the Greenwich Skating Club and Mamaroneck programs.  Players predominantly come from Westchester and Fairfield counties, but also reach out to Long Island as well as Putnam, Rockland and Dutchess counties.

Mission
Stateline Hawks is a non-profit girls’ hockey program dedicated to providing an exceptional athletic and educational experience for our female players to improve their hockey skills, expand their knowledge of the game, and pursue a future in the sport if desired. Our goal is to promote team play, a competitive spirit, and good sportsmanship in all facets of the game, starting with our learn to play and culminating with our 19U teams. Stateline believes that our players thrive under strong mentorship and coaching, and that is why we are dedicated to hiring professional coaches and having our teams be tournament-bound members of highly competitive leagues.

Coaching
Within the mission, the number one initiative each season is to provide a professional coaching staff that is second to none.  Our dedication to this initiative starts with Director of Hockey, Shannon Doyle.  Shannon’s experience as a player and coach has helped her develop an exceptional network of professional coaches who lead all of the Stateline teams.  Her involvement continues throughout the season providing coaches with extensive support as well as game and practice analysis.

Skills
Led by Director of Hockey, Shannon Doyle and Director of Goaltending, Abbie Ives, the Stateline organization places a strong emphasis on skill development from Learn to Skate through 19U.  One practice per week is dedicated purely to skills.  Our goal is to develop the skills necessary for players to compete at the highest level possible on their current teams, as well as prepare them for prep/high school and college hockey if desired.  Please see our Coaching Staff page to see our professional coaching staff which leads all skill sessions.

Leagues and Tournaments
Stateline teams play in highly competitive leagues including NYSAHA and AGHF, and play in recognized tournaments throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.  14U and 19U top teams are National Bound. Please see individual team pages for more details.

Home Ice
Stateline teams have home ice for games/practices split between Hommocks Rink in Larchmont and Greenwich Skating Club…there is nothing better than playing outside under the lights on a winter night!

Stateline Committee
The Stateline Hawks girls hockey program is governed by a committee consisting of a six-person management board, plus GSC and MYHA Presidents and the Director of Hockey.  The committee meets monthly with a focus on developing and maintaining the best possible programming for all Stateline players and teams.
